"largest non-Christian community in the Pacific"

Read about Fiji in:

Fiji
Fiji, in the South Pacific, is made up of two main islands and nearly 900 smaller mini-islands.
At the end of the 19th Century the British introduced ethnic Indians to work on the islands - violent tensions still exist between the Indian-Fijians and the indigenous Fijians. Many Indians have now left Fiji - a drain of professional workers which has devestated the economy.

Challenges for Prayer
Christianity has been made a political issue by Fijian nationalists - as a consequence many Indian-Fijians have a negative view of Christianity. Pray that this mistrust and misunderstanding would be broken down.
The Indians on Fiji are the largest non-Christian community in the Pacific - only 6% know Jesus.
Pray that there would be lively, evangelistic churches planted on all the islands - many of which are very isolated.
